The day will consist of a combination of Bodywork and Meditation in stillness and in movement through Tai Chi and an exploration of the relevance of the Rule of St Benedict for a modern world and in particular through the lens of the 12 Steps of Humility.
Fr Christopher Gorst has been a Benedictine monk for 50 years spending most of these years at Ampleforth though 8 years were spent in a satellite monastery in Zimbabwe. He has been practising Tai Chi for 12 years.
Terry Doyle is an Oblate with WCCM and a well-established leader of workshops and retreats specialising in the Healing into Wholeness aspects of Tai Chi and Meditation. He also works in the field of Social Justice and is UK Coordinator for Meditatio in Bringing Meditation into the Margins of Society.
