Healing Silence 

Meditation and medicine are integrally connected through the experience of care, attention and wholeness. 

While open to all, this seven day meditation retreat has a special focus for those in the medical and caring professions. 

Laurence Freeman OSB, who is leading a course on meditation and leadership in the medical profession for the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, will guide participants towards discovering how important their inner state is to their work of caring for others and to the health care professions in general. 

The retreat is a special opportunity to refresh the sense of calling that makes the medical and caring professions both personally fulfilling and effective in the well-being of others. 

Bere Island itself is a unique, healing environment of great peace, friendliness and natural beauty which has hosted many retreats for meditators.
