Meditation & Healing - Retreat led by Laurence Freeman OSB with Dr Barry White

This year the annual Bere Island Meditation and Healing Retreat will take on a more contemplative aspect with more personal time for silence and solitude.

Each morning there will be a session led by Laurence Freeman on the relationship between healing and meditation with particular emphasis on the needs and vocation of the healer.

In the afternoon the session will be led by Barry White with the shared exploration of some wisdom texts and time for discussion.

Meditation will form part of each session and an introduction to meditation will be given for those who are new to the practice. The retreat is designed for people new to meditation as well as those who have begun to meditate and wish to strengthen it as part of their daily lives.

This schedule will allow participants to take time for personal reflection and silence on an island setting renowned for its peace and beauty as well as the friendliness of the small community living there. Some opportunities for personal consultation will also be available.

The retreat starts on Sunday 17th at 17.00 and will finish on Saturday morning 23rd at noon.
The cost of the retreat is Euro 220 for the week or Euro 35 per day for a non-residential retreat.
